How We Measure Whether Care Is Actually Working

man with back painFeeling better is nice. We want more than that.

The most common way chiropractic measures outcomes: how do you feel?

That’s not nothing. Symptom relief matters. Pain reduction matters. Quality of life matters.

But it’s insufficient. Because you can feel better in the short term while your nervous system is still stuck in a stress pattern. You can stop hurting because you’ve adapted, not because you’ve healed. Those are very different things.

We track outcomes through repeated INSiGHT scans. We’re looking at your nervous system’s stress response over time — not just whether your back feels better this week. We want to see the pattern shift. We want to see your system moving out of sympathetic dominance. We want the data to confirm what you’re telling us you feel.

When those two things align — the scan improving and the person feeling better — that’s when we know the care is working at the level it should.

When they don’t align — when someone feels great but the scan still shows a stressed pattern — that’s important information. It tells us there’s more to address, even if the symptoms have quieted down.

We share this with you. We explain what we’re seeing. You’re not just a passive recipient of adjustments. You’re someone who gets to understand what’s happening in your own nervous system.

That’s how it should work.
