Understanding The Approach

What does it mean to be a PX Docs Chiropractor?

Being a PX Docs chiropractor means the provider has undergone advanced, post-graduate training specifically focused on Paediatric, Perinatal, and Family Neurological Health. Unlike traditional approaches that focus largely on pain or bones, PX Docs providers focus on the Central Nervous System (the brain and spinal cord). We look at how “stuck stress” (dysautonomia) is affecting your child’s development, behaviour, sleep, and immune function. We are proud to be the first provider in Asia with this specific qualification.

How is this different from a ‘regular’ chiropractor?

While traditional chiropractic is fantastic for back pain and structural issues, Chirosanctuary is neurologically-focused. We don’t just ask, “Where does it hurt?” We ask, “How is this nervous system functioning?”

Our techniques are tonal and gentle. We focus on releasing tension in the Vagus Nerve and autonomic nervous system to help the body shift from a “fight or flight” protection mode into a state of growth, rest, and regulation. Think of it this way: Traditional chiropractic = fixing the hardware (bones and joints), Neurological chiropractic = upgrading the software (brain and nervous system). Both are valuable, but we believe the software runs the hardware—so that’s where we start.

Do you treat specific conditions like colic, ADHD, or autism?

We do not “treat” or “cure” medical diagnoses or labels. Instead, we look for the root cause of the struggle: a stressed, dysregulated nervous system. Many children with colic, sleep regression, sensory processing challenges, or neurodivergent patterns (ADHD/Autism) have a nervous system that is stuck in overdrive. By gently unwinding this stress, we help improve their quality of life, ability to focus, sleep, and emotional regulation. We work alongside your medical team—not instead of them—to support your child’s development from a neurological perspective.

What exactly does the INSiGHT™ Scan measure?

Think of the INSiGHT™ Scan as a “weather report” for your nervous system. It does not look at broken bones (like an X-ray); instead, it measures stress and function.
It uses three distinct technologies to detect hidden tension:

  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV): Measures your “gas pedal” vs. “brake pedal” to see if your body is stuck in stress mode or able to rest and recover
  • Neuro-Thermal: Measures the regulation of your autonomic nervous system, which controls organs, glands, and blood vessels
  • sEMG (Surface Electromyography): Measures how much energy your muscles are wasting to hold up your spine against gravity

Together, these scans give us an objective score of your adaptability.

How many visits will we need?

Healing is a process, not a quick fix. Because we are rewiring the nervous system (neuroplasticity), it takes time and repetition.
After your initial assessment, Minji will provide a customised care plan based on your goals and clinical findings. For a newborn with a minor latch issue, it may be a short plan. For a child with years of “perfect storm” stress, the journey may be longer. We will always be transparent about what to expect.

Why should we continue care if we are feeling better?

We love this question! Think of chiropractic care like brushing your teeth or going to the gym. You don’t stop brushing just because you don’t have a cavity today.
Once we have cleared the initial “storm” of stress and your symptoms have subsided, we recommend Wellness Care. This is regular, preventative maintenance designed to keep your nervous system resilient. Since we cannot stop the stress of life (school, work, toxins, growth spurts), Wellness Care ensures your body stays adaptable and strong enough to handle whatever comes next.

Safety & Gentleness

Is it safe for babies? Do you crack them?

Safety is our number one priority. We do not use heavy pressure, twisting, or “cracking” on infants or young children.
Our adjustments for babies are incredibly gentle—typically using no more pressure than you would use to check the ripeness of a peach. Most babies sleep right through their session. For older children, we use low-force, tonal techniques that are comfortable and respectful.

How do you measure my child’s nervous system function?

We don’t guess; we test. Minji utilises comprehensive manual neuro-tonal assessments to evaluate primitive reflexes, muscle tone, and spinal tension.

Is the scan safe for pregnant mums and babies?

Yes, it is 100% safe. The INSiGHT™ technology is non-invasive and uses zero radiation. Unlike an X-ray or CT scan, it does not put anything into the body; it simply uses sensors to read the signals coming out of the body (similar to an ECG or a thermometer). It is completely safe for pregnant mothers, newborns, and infants.

Will my child be in pain after the session?

No. The adjustments are gentle and soothing. However, because we are stimulating the nervous system, some children may experience “processing” signs after a visit.
This might look like: A really long nap (catch-up sleep), A large bowel movement (digestive release), A temporary release of emotions. These are all positive signs that the body is reorganising and healing.

Can adults come to the practice?

Absolutely. While we are known for paediatrics, we are a family practice. Parents are often running on high stress, caffeine, and little sleep. You cannot pour from an empty cup. We love caring for mums and dads because when your nervous system is regulated, you can better co-regulate with your children. Many of our adult practice members deal with chronic headaches, neck and back pain, stress-related tension, and sleep problems. We’re here to help you feel like yourself again.

Do I need a referral from my GP or Paediatrician?

No, you do not need a referral to see us. However, we believe in a collaborative approach. We are happy to communicate with your GP, paediatrician, or midwife to ensure your family receives the most cohesive care possible.
